The GreenLeaf Flow 500 Classic is the new-generation replacement for our long-standing Classic 400 — previously our most popular macerator pump.
We’ve kept the practical, versatile Classic format that made the original such a dependable all-rounder and upgraded it with more power, improved performance, higher temperature capability and the return of the manual override switch.
With a 500W motor, up to 135 L/min flow, 8 metres vertical lift and 80 metres horizontal discharge, the Flow 500 Classic is designed to handle almost any normal residential bathroom, kitchen or laundry installation.

Actual pumping performance depends on pipe diameter, vertical lift, horizontal distance, bends and overall installation design.
Bathrooms, Kitchens & Laundries
The Flow 500 Classic isn't limited to bathrooms.
Its multiple greywater connections make it suitable for a wide variety of normal domestic wastewater applications, including kitchen sinks, washing machines and dishwashers.
For kitchen use, always fit a suitable sink strainer and prevent food scraps, cooking fats, oils and grease from entering the pump.
A macerator pump is not a food waste disposal system.
Food waste disposal units should not be connected unless an appropriate filtration system prevents solid material from entering the macerator.
Important Installation Points
Correct installation is essential for reliable operation.

Greywater pipework should have approximately a 2% fall toward the pump

Showers generally require around 150mm clearance to achieve sufficient gravity fall

Allow a minimum 200mm between the toilet and rear wall for the Flow 500 Classic installation

Install the supplied non-return valve directly at the pump discharge
-
Complete vertical discharge pipework before long horizontal runs
-
Use sweeping bends or 2 x 45° bends rather than tight 90° bends where practical
-
Keep the pump accessible for future servicing

Ensure all unused inlets are correctly sealed

Simple Preventative Maintenance
A little preventative maintenance goes a long way with any macerator pump.
Every 3–4 months
Run a suitable Sugar Soap cleaning solution through the pump, allow it time to work, then flush thoroughly with warm water.
This helps reduce soap, waste and residue build-up inside the pump and pipework.

Every GreenLeaf Flow 500 Classic comes with a 24-month return-to-base warranty for residential use.
The warranty covers manufacturing faults under normal use when the pump has been correctly installed and operated.

External installation is at the owner/installer's risk and requires a suitable weather-tight enclosure protecting the pump from rain, flooding, condensation and all external water.
